About me

Hello, I’m Katherine

Massage therapist, ITEC qualified since 2001, and the person you will meet when you come to Leafield Hub.

My story

Being a massage therapist isn’t just a career — it’s my dream job

I have always been driven by a lifelong passion for complementary therapies and a genuine love for caring for others.

My journey began in 2001 when I qualified with ITEC in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage. I have since expanded my expertise to include Hot and Cold Stone Therapy, Deep Tissue and Indian Head Massage. Most recently, I travelled to Wales to study Hands Free Massage with the renowned bodyworker, trainer and author Darien Pritchard.

I believe every client deserves the same level of care and attention to detail that I would hope for myself. That’s why every treatment I provide is bespoke, blending my favourite massage techniques that I’ve learned over the years to ensure you feel pampered and relaxed from head to toe.

I look forward to welcoming you to my beautiful treatment room here in Corsham.

Training

Twenty-plus years of adding to the toolkit

Massage is not something you learn once. Each of these built on the last, and all of them get used.

01

ITEC — Anatomy, Physiology and Massage

2001. The foundation: how the body is put together, how it moves, and how to work with it safely. Everything since has been built on this.

02

Hot and Cold Stone Therapy

Working with heated basalt and chilled marble — using temperature as well as pressure to reach tension that hands alone take much longer to release.

03

Deep Tissue Massage

Slow, sustained work into the deeper layers of muscle and fascia, for chronic stiffness, scar tissue and long-standing knots.

04

Indian Head Massage

The Ayurvedic tradition of working the head, neck, shoulders and upper back — still one of the most effective things I offer for headaches and tension.

05

Hands Free Massage — with Darien Pritchard

Most recent. Studied in Wales with the bodyworker, trainer and author who wrote the book on it. Forearms, elbows and soft fists instead of thumbs: broader, deeper, and far kinder on the client.

Credentials

Qualified, insured and accountable

You are trusting me with your body, often when something is already hurting. These are the things that should be in place before you do that — with any therapist, not just me.
